Fees
Let's keep this simple. $149 for any amount of time from 10 minutes to 50 minutes. Your choice. Change outfits as often as you like, but keep in mind that a clothing change takes time and will limit the number of images taken during a session. This fee includes THREE fully enhanced files chosen from an private online gallery, in COLOR and BLACK & White
Three images not enough? Additional enhanced files are available for $20 each. Pick your favorites from an online gallery. Have your friends help. Get a second opinion. It's nice to be able to get reactions from others to test the effectiveness of a photo. I'll get your selections to you through email or a service you may already be using, such as Dropbox, or Google Drive. AND, feel free to choose a selection of your favorite unedited low resolution images for future reference or as a guide for selecting an image for a full retouch.
Additional 15 minute blocks of time my be purchased for $25 each.
Do you need me to come to you? On location groups of 5 or more, $49 per person, and includes one high resolution file each. Additional enhanced files available for $20 each. This is designed to be a quick, fun, and easy session with me spending about 5 - 7 minutes with each subject. If you need more time or an outfit change for each person the fee will be $79 per person.

Where does the shoot take place?
The majority of my sessions take place in a home studio located in Tulsa OK. If your needs require something different, I am available to go on location for an additional fee.
What do I wear for my session?
Keep your options open. We can go over the details before the session, but here are some basic tips:
Always bring clothes that match your style and personality. Minimize black or white clothes, they can lose detail in some photographs. Any color is great for tops, but remember that bright colors can draw away from your face so pick something muted that matches your eye color or skin tone. Stay away from clothes with busy patterns. Solid colors are best.
Make sure any clothes that you bring are clean and neatly pressed. This goes double for collared shirts and suits. The camera catches everything. For head-shots your lower half won't make it in to most of the pictures, but don't neglect to pick out some good pants for the shoot.
Make sure to dress comfortable but classy, v-neck and u-neck sweaters and shirts are great. For women tank-tops are always good, stay away from clothes that are too tight or uncomfortable. Collared button down shirts are great, a solid color with a crisp clean shirt underneath for the men and a stylish solid color for women.
Be rested and drink plenty of water the day before your shoot, it can help give a healthy look to your skin. Minimize jewelry or props; the shoot is all about you, not accessories.
What about hair and makeup?
Hair and makeup is not included in the session fee. Most of the time men can get by without using professional hair and makeup, but a powder or foundation can help even out skin tones and keep the face from looking too shiny.
For women I usually recommend professional makeup. A professional makeup artist knows how to make you look your best for the camera. Getting a facial several days to a week before the shoot can ensure that your skin will look its best. You can bring your own makeup artist to the shoot, or, simply arrive with the look you like ready to go.
How long does it take to get my images?
For most head-shot sessions your gallery of images will be online the evening of the shoot. Once you make your selections it is typically another two to three business days before your final, edited images are delivered to you. If you have a deadline and need something faster, arrangements can be made.
How much retouching do you do?
Straight out of the camera your images will be pretty much ready to go. I use the right lighting and posing techniques to help you look your best. Before I deliver the images to you I sort through and remove any of the blinky or blurry ones, color-correct and crop them. Each image you order is given expert attention to reduce wrinkles and blemishes, as well as stray hairs and dark circles. The key is to enhance the image without making you look fake.
It's my first time, what kind of acting head-shots do I need?
As an actor, the type of shots you need is going to be determined by a few factors including your market (where you live and work), your type (what you look and act like), what you want to audition for and more. Always consult your agent on what you need. They have experience in the industry and more importantly, they know what you need to book more jobs.
If you don't have an agent yet then stay with a clean, simple, commercial head-shot. Basically a smiling, looking-at-the-camera head and shoulders image with minimal retouching to show potential agents and casting directors what you look like.
Remember that the majority of casting for film and television, at least in the early stages, is done online. Casting directors look at an array of small thumbnails to determine the initial round of auditions, so it's important that your head-shot is impactful close up. A small thumbnail of your whole body from head to toe will make your face a lot less visible at that size.
Don't worry too much about specific character shots unless directed by your agent. Your two basic looks will be commercial (upbeat and happy) and theatrical (more dramatic).
